Our social impact investment model

The 50% Profit Investment Model: Redefining How Brands Create Impact

At NWNORM, we believe a brand should do more than sell products. It should drive positive and sustainable impact across the entire supply chain, contributing to a better world.

That is why we have built our business around a simple but powerful principle. We structurally invest 50% of our profits into social projects in Bangladesh.

This is not charity. It is a long term investment in the people behind our clothing, a community that should have equal access to opportunities, stability, and a better future.

A Better Alternative to Traditional Giving

Many brands choose to donate a percentage of their revenue to a cause. This can create meaningful short term support, while lasting change often requires a more structural and long term approach.

At NWNORM, we take a different path.

Our model is built on investment instead of donation, partnership instead of hierarchy, and growth instead of dependency. Rather than giving money away, we reinvest our profits into initiatives that support the people behind our clothing in Bangladesh, enabling them to build their own sustainable future.

Why Bangladesh

Bangladesh is a place defined by craftsmanship, resilience and entrepreneurial energy.

In recent years, parts of the fashion industry have moved production away from Bangladesh in response to concerns around working conditions and past incidents. While these concerns are important, real change does not come from stepping away, but from actively contributing to better standards and stronger systems.

We do not see Bangladesh as a production hub. We see it as a community full of talent, experience and opportunity.

That is why we choose to stay and invest. By working directly with local makers and entrepreneurs, we build long term relationships based on equality and mutual respect. Together, we focus on fair production, transparency and continuous improvement.

This approach leads to fair wages, stronger local economies and real opportunities for communities to grow, build stability, and access better futures.

Where Does the 50% Go

Our investments focus on two key areas.

Microfinance and entrepreneurship

We support individuals in starting or expanding their own businesses, from small workshops to local trade initiatives.

Skills and knowledge development

We invest in training and education so people can grow, develop, and build independent futures.

Why 50%

Because impact should be part of the foundation, not an afterthought.

By committing half of our profits, we ensure that impact remains central to everything we do. We believe this creates the ideal balance. There is enough reinvested into impact, while also leaving room within the business to grow faster. And as we grow, the impact grows with us.

Success is shared rather than extracted.

And yes, this is a significant challenge. But by working efficiently and building this model into the foundation of our company from day one, we aim to show that it is possible. We hope to inspire other brands to rethink their structure and see that impact and growth can go hand in hand.

What This Means for You

Every purchase fuels a system designed for long term impact.

You are not contributing to a donation. You are participating in a model built on shared value and long term thinking.

You choose transparency over empty promises. You choose collaboration over charity. You choose a brand that grows together with the people behind it.

Building the Future Together

The 50% profit investment model is our way of doing that.

Not by giving back, but by building forward together with Bangladesh.

And setting the New Norm, together.
